We speak to Lauren and ask her a few questions about herself and what it’s like to be a model!
Who is your style icon?
I don’t think I have a style icon. I’m always looking through magazines for inspiration and styles that might suit me. I buy a lot of basics and try not to follow trends too much. I buy clothes that suit my shape and my skin tone.
How did you find out about BGM?
I was always a tall teenager and bigger than all my friends which made me self-conscious. I remember my mum pointing out an article on BGM models in the newspaper. The model featured was absolutely stunning. I couldn’t believe it when I read she was the same size as me.
What do you love about being a model?
I love the idea of being a plus size model. I am very proud of my body and look after myself, eating well and exercising regularly. I believe that there are cloths that look beautiful on everybody, and we need models that represent this.
What is your favourite brand?
I have so many! I love Style Stalker, Sportsgirl, Maurie and Eve and Topshop. I also spent a lot of time op-shopping, I like finding something unique.
What’s unique about you?
I love animals. Not only do have pets but I love documentaries, books and I always make a yearly visit to the zoo.
